"Seductive Nectar" is masterfully perfumed and blended by renowned award-winning artisanal perfumer Lucky Armstrong. Known as "The Gourmand King", Lucky set out in 2022 with a clear mission: to redefine the world of fragrance through bold, unforgettable gourmand creations. What began as a passion soon became an obsession... to build one of the most respected perfume houses in the world. Lucky Armstrong doesn't follow trends, he sets them. And that shows in his many unique and incredible fragrances he has created. We are extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Lucky as the nose for this beautifully seductive new release from Statik Olfactive!
"Let's make a dessert"...
"My father was a chef and when I was growing up, one of my favorite desserts that my father would make on occasion was the infamous Bananas Foster. If you aren't familiar with this dessert, I do highly suggest you familiarize yourself with it... its absolutely delicious. In a nutshell, you slice up a bunch of bananas and sauté them in brown sugar, cinnamon, and dark rum. You torch the rum when in the pan, flames shoot up, and this reduces the sauce and caramelizes that rich deep flavor. You then pour the sauce and caramelized bananas over vanilla bean ice cream and enjoy. It's quite the exquisite savory dessert and very much a sensory overload of taste and smell.
I wanted to recreate this in a perfume. HOWEVER, I wanted to up the ante and make it even more unique. Instead of bananas, my idea was to sub the banana for peaches... a 'Peaches Foster', if you will. Perfumer Lucky Armstrong sent me a few trial mods and while they were ALL absolutely fantastic, what I envisioned in my head was a more prominent vanilla and a little more amped up peach. The first few trial formulas were a little too "boozy". Lucky is very well known for his use of very high quality and photorealistic vanillas in his own fragrances, so I really wanted to highlight that vanillic aspect and let it shine in all of its glory. So the perfumer got back to work and dialed back the boozy "dark rum" aspect a little and increased the concentration of vanilla and peach. After a few more mods, we were dialed in perfectly and the vision aligned. It was love at first sniff. We knew instantly and said 'this is the one'.
'Seductive Nectar' is named such because it truly is the most seductive of nectars in a fragrance. The most sultry and seductive of vanillas, deep and rich, accentuated with the most juicy and ripe caramelized peach. Notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, and a dark spiced rum accord elevate this fragrance to the heights we knew it could be.
