About the Perfumer
"Home for the Holidays" is masterfully perfumed and blended by Artisanal Perfumer Hez Binkowitz. Hez excels at creating olfactive journeys; fragrances that tell a story, bringing a narrative or vision to life via scent; specifically fragrances in the "gourmand" category of perfumery... fragrances that smell so delicious, you'd almost want to eat or drink them! Being a New Orleans Native, he is no stranger to the sights and smells of delicious edible treats, and as such, specializes in the creation of these highly unique gourmand experiences!! We are extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Hez as the nose for this beautiful transportive and highly realistic unique scent!
Something transportive...
"Sometimes the best ideas are the unplanned ones. The best things can happen when you least expect them. 'Home for the Holidays' was a rather fortuitous happening, coming about during the creation process of our previous release Crème de Menthe Café. During the early trial formula phase of Crème de Menthe Café, we were testing different mods to nail down a precise direction that we wanted to go with the scent. One of these beginning trial formulas was a mod that went an entirely different direction with the scent than what we had in mind. HOWEVER, it was absolutely beautiful on it's own and the profile was almost completely changed because of the addition of lots of added spices and woods. We smelled it and it smelled very 'Christmas-y'. We thought to ourselves that this would be an incredible scent to work on as a completely new direction for a 'holiday themed release'... obviously dropping out the mint/chocolate/coffee vibe and using those 'holiday spice and woods' as the base for something new!
We put that mod aside for the time being to revisit at a later time. We finally finished Crème de Menthe Café, and at that point came back to perfumer Hez Binkowitz and pitched the idea of getting to work right away on one more new fragrance for us. Hez was all in, excited about the new idea, and could not wait to get back to the lab!
We explained how we wanted a scent that smelled of all things 'holiday season'. One that would be nostalgic to people and be transportive... warm, cozy, comforting, and inviting. Things like spiced apples, popcorn, s'mores, gingerbread, the aroma of a fresh Christmas tree in the living room, and of course all those delectable holiday spices! We also knew there was no better suited name for this new fragrances than 'Home for the Holidays'... something nostalgic and personal to so many. Hez understood the task at hand so well and our visions aligned so perfectly, that the profile for 'Home for the Holidays' was absolutely nailed within the VERY FIRST set of trial mods sent out to us for our review! It's everything that you imagine it would be! Close your eyes, and just let your scent memory take over... this release is truly transportive, providing a sense of imagery; one that you can hold close."

We created Home for the Holidays from a deeply personal place and love for those fleeting moments that only happen when the whole family is together. The scent of something baking in the oven, laughter echoing down the hallway, and the comforting presence of a glowing Christmas tree in the corner. We wanted to capture that warm, familiar magic and turn it into something you could reach for anytime, anywhere.
The fragrance opens with a wave of cozy nostalgia. Baked apple, spiced gingerbread, and holiday spices immediately fill the air like stepping into the kitchen on a December afternoon. These notes are rich and golden, evoking the smell of your favorite holiday recipes passed down through generations. It's the scent of anticipation for the warmth of the season's first real gathering.
As the fragrance settles in, the heart reveals a world of comfort and indulgence. Toasted s’mores and buttered popcorn transport you to the living room—blankets piled high, a classic movie playing, maybe a little chaos from the kids, but all of it wrapped in joy. The creamy blend of Irish cream liqueur, Kona coffee tincture, and steamed milk adds a soft, enveloping richness.
These notes bring the coziness of a hot drink cradled in your hands while voices murmur around you and snow quietly taps at the window.
The base is where everything slows down and sinks in. Caramelized brown sugar and maple add a syrupy depth, like the final sweet bite of dessert or the golden drizzle on a breakfast that stretches into the afternoon. Colombian coffee absolute gives a dark, roasted edge that balances the sweetness, grounding the scent in familiarity. Then comes the whisper of Christmas pine, fresh and resinous, like the towering tree in the corner of the living room—decorated with memories, glowing with soft lights.
Finally, aged amber, Australian sandalwood, gray ambergris, and white musk linger like the last few notes of your favorite holiday song. Soft, warm, a little nostalgic. These base notes carry the feeling of that perfect evening when the guests are gone, the house is quiet, and all that’s left is the gentle glow of togetherness still hanging in the air.
